Returning to the Internet!

What oh what have I been up to all this time?

It has been a long little while since I've posted anything on this blog. Tisk Tisk I know, shame on me for the laziness! But I have been busy. Looking for work and money in the sofa cushions of every couch I sit on mostly! In terms of art being made I have been less the busy. Sadly I do not have much to show at the moment for all my time away. I really did not have much to blog about!
BUT that's not to say I have returned empty handed, no no no.
I can give you a little visual updating on a few things I'm working on.

Firstly:
I had a little accident with one of my Jars... This amazing Jar/vase I had found had by far the most fragile glass ever, and after getting so far with it one little knock and the darn thing shattered into a million pieces. I now have a tree without a home... I was able to find a suitable replacement only to find that luck was not on my side and the rock was to big to sit inside at the lowest point. SIGHHHHHHHHHHH.
So I have been keeping my eye out for a suitable home for my little tree, or will have to start working on a new tree on a new rock for a new jar. I'm hoping to turn up a jar so I can work away on other jars in the future.

Secondly:
I've started a series of little watercolours that are for the mere fun of it. I've placed them in order of creation and I have to say the last one is my favorite even though I feel deeply for the first. The middle one on the other hand I feel missed the mark with those doe like eyes, though I do like them all together.

Thirdly, and not art related:
I have hemmed a skirt for summer! I do not have a before photo to show you, but think Grandma length and you'll have an idea. I have plans on revamping a lot of the clothes in my wardrobe (Davids favorite English word!) because well lets face it, times are rough and a girl has got to stay on top on the fashion game somehow even if her wallet is empty.
I may be including some of those little projects on here as I believe some savy screen printing might be involved... (you know those wonderful clothes fowled by pesky paint and stains!)

This is my way of getting ready for the summer weather.

Lastly
In the coming weeks I plan on opening up an Etsy shop to help with my cash flow so if you wanted to purchase anything I will be providing a link to that when the time comes.
I would also like to report on a happy involvement with the band The Kestrels, I did a little design for one of their new t-shirts. When they are printed I will gladly post a photo. I hope to be doing some more stuff for them in the future, so stay tuned all around!
